THE spookiest pub in Bolton has set spines tingling again after a tourist caught another ghostly sighting on camera.

Ye Olde Man and Scythe, in Churchgate, hit the headlines in February when a CCTV video became an internet hit.

It appeared to show a "ghost" appearing at the end of the bar during the night while the pub was shut.

Now, a 19-second YouTube video, purportedly shot by a tourist speaking in Portuguese, shows an upstairs window spookily flicker - during the day with customers sitting outside.

The 763-year-old pub is described by the tourist as "one of the oldest in England" and "the most haunted".

As the man is talking about the pub's "crazy cider" a strange shimmer of light appears in the window.

In February, reporters Jeremy Culley and Liam Thorp staked the pub out overnight after the first video was released, to determine once and for all whether it was haunted or not.

The pub, which dates back to 1251, is the fourth-oldest in Britain and is reputedly haunted by James Stanley, the Seventh Earl of Derby.

It is said that the royalist, whose family originally owned the inn, spent the last hours of his life there before being beheaded in 1651 during the Civil War.

The chair in which he was executed is still in the pub.
