MP Jake Berry followed “the khaki line” as part of Edgworth’s World War One commemorations.
The Edgworth Remembers walk followed the route taken by local soldiers from the village to the old Turton railway station on their way to the Western Front.
Poppy seeds were planted at various points along the way.
Mr Berry, MP for Rossendale and Darwen, said: “It was very moving to follow the khaki line and it was fantastic to see so many people of all ages get involved.”
