POLICE have found the body of a woman who went missing from her home in Worsley.

Kerry Bailey, aged 36, was last seen at her Worsley home on Wednesday.

Her body was found off Higher Green Lane in Astley, Wigan, today.

Police say there are not any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Detective Inspector Alan Clitherow, said: "We have spent several days making every effort to find Kerry safe and well, sadly a body has been found today and although we await formal identification we do believe it is her.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with her family and friends at this deeply upsetting time."
