Division Two side Daisy Hill celebrated a rare success by beating third placed visitors Eccleshall 2-1.
The victory, which moved them off the bottom of the league, was only their third of the season.
It was a welcome change of fortune for Tommy Moore's side which as an average age of only 18.
Shinks opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Dunn equalised for Eccleshall five minutes after the restart.
But Shinks had the last word with his second with only 20 minutes to go to give Daisy Hill three valauable points.
Elsewhere, Atherton LR had an impressive win over Nelson with goals from Oliver Babbington on 10 minutes, Scott Howarth-Pash after 52 minutes and Niall Callaghan just after the hour.
Manager Tim Lees was pleased with the result because Nelson are close rivals in Division One.
Lees was grateful to see Nelson blast a penalty over the bar as they pushed for an equaliser in the last quarter of an hour of the first half.
Atherton Collieries' game at Stone Dominoes was postponed as was the glamour fixture of the day - FC United's home game against fellow Division One title contenders Curzon Ashton.
