TWO women took part in a breathtaking trek to the site of Machu Picchu and helped raise more than £15,000 for charity.
Michelle Thornhill and Sarah Renwick embarked on a four-day 43km journey in aid of Sport Relief and the ADHD Foundation.
The pair climbed to the 15th century Inca site which is 7,970ft above sea level in Peru.
Ms Thornihill, aged 53, of Nuttall Lane, Ramsbottom, and Ms Renwick, of Lever Street, Radcliffe, were part of an 18-strong team.
The ADHD Foundation was set up in 2007 to raise money for children and families living with the condition, which affects about 500,000 children across the country.
