PAWNBROKERS in Bolton have collected more than 200 Easter eggs in a fundraising hunt.
Staff at H&T Pawnbrokers are donating eggs to children at Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley, the Royal Bolton Hospital and Foodbank Farnworth.
They have set themselves a target of 300 eggs — which they are set to beat.
The eggs have come from donations from staff and customers to H&T’s Newport Street outlet during March and April.
The collection was part of a nationwide initiative by H&T Pawnbrokers to collect more than 1,000 Easter eggs across the country for children’s charities and hospitals.
Nicola Merrils, store manager at H&T Bolton, said: “We want to bring a smile and a surprise to as many children in hospital and to those who might not receive Easter Eggs as we can this year.”
