A 44-YEAR-OLD man was given one last chance after assaulting a nurse — and has now ended up behind bars.
Anthony Huggan assaulted staff nurse Harpleet Kaur at Royal Bolton Hospital on September 28 last year and appeared before Bury magistrates on November 8.
Huggan, of Spenser Avenue, Radcliffe, was given an 18-week suspended sentence and warned he would go to prison if he reoffended within two years.
However, Huggan appeared before Bury magistrates again and admitted receiving stolen goods.
Police had found him in possession of an Apollo Phaze mountain bike worth £200 and belonging to someone else. Magistrates jailed him for 17 weeks.
