A SHOPLIFTER who stole clothing valued at £144 from Marks and Spencer in Bolton has appeared before the town’s magistrates.
Mary-Anne Allen, aged 58, of Cranbury Road, Reading, Berkshire, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on October 9 last year.
She was arrested in Maidenhead, Berkshire, and kept in custody for four days until she was brought to Bolton, where magistrates decided that her sentence should be the time she had already spent behind bars.
