BOLTON Mountain Rescue has been left thousands of pounds by a man in his will.
Ian Casson, who was born in Blackburn lived in Devon died in November 2012, leaving £25,930 to the team.
A dedication plaque will now be installed in Mr Casson’s memory at its headquarters at Ladybridge Hall.
The MRT has also appealed for people who knew Mr Casson to contact them by writing to Bolton MRT, 38 Heathfield Drive, Tyldesley, Manchester.
n Bolton Mountain Rescue has also received a £25,000 donation from the Manchester Rambling Club.
