THE deputy leader of UKIP, Paul Nuttall, has warned people that the EU’s decision to cut mobile phone charges abroad is not as good as it sounds.
The North West MEP said the new law will mean that people calling in the UK will subsidise travellers making roaming calls abroad.
He added: “This action will increase costs for the majority to cut costs for the minority.
“It is the same MEPs who voted in favour of this change who will benefit.
“The reality is that pensioners on pay-as-you-go will be subsiding the fat cats of the EU. That cannot be right.”
