HOW times change.
Here we have Montserrat Brow in an undated photograph — the cottages were demolished in 1933 — and the same scene in a more recent picture.
You can clearly see workmen on the roofs of the cottages and another dealing with the front wall of one building — watched by interested passers-by.
Today modern properties are on the same site and the scene is very different from the one we see in our older image.
The properties have been built on a hill — or brow — and have several steps leading up to the front door which was a feature of homes at the turn of the century.
Perhaps you live in one of the homes now or have an interesting story to tell about the area.
Do let us know if you can supply us with an old yarn.
