NEW landlord Andy Ireson and landlady Emma Jackson are aiming to recreate the atmosphere of a traditional local pub after taking over at the Old Three Crowns in Deansgate.
Mr Ireson, aged 48, has been managing the pub for a year after moving to Bolton from the Queens Hotel in Carnforth.
After he arrived in Bolton, his relationship with Ms Jackson, aged 31, blossomed and they are now partners running the pub.
“We want to be like a local pub, even though we are in the town centre,” said Mr Ireson, who is originally from Leeds.
”Our pub has already got a proper community feel about it and we want to continue along those lines.”
The lease of the pub has been on the market for four years and the couple are hoping the Three Crowns can go from strength to strength now they have taken over.
“Having a settled landlord and landlady should make a positive difference,” said Mr Ireson.
