ONE of television’s most popular daytime shows is coming to Bolton.
Dickinson’s Real Deal will be filmed in the town on Sunday, November 10.
Presenter David Dickinson will be bidding to unearth more treasure as Boltonians dust down the hidden gems in their attics.
Filming will take place at the Premier Suite of the Bolton Whites Hotel when Dickinson will be giving advice to visitors about whether to take the dealers’ cash or gamble at auction.
Last time the production team were in the area, in August, 2009, one Bolton participant received £700 from one of the dealers for his great grandfather’s pocket watch, while a couple from Tonge Moor sold some commemorative clippings of the Pretoria Pit at auction for £420.
“It’s great to bring the show back to Bolton,” said Dickinson. “I urge people of Bolton to come along and get the ‘Real Deal’.
“When we visited the area before, the quality of the items brought by members of the public was fantastic with lots of history and stories attached to their items.”
Dickinson’s Real Deal on ITV1 is regularly watched by more than a million people. It is currently back for a 10th series with Dickinson and the dealers travelling around the country looking for antiques members of the public may want to sell.
Participants should take their antiques along, or they can call beforehand to tell the production team about their items on 0117 970 7618.
Admission is free.
