FORMER Nottingham Forest and Watford striker Morgan Ferrier could be closing in on a permanent move to Wanderers, according to Dougie Freedman.
The Wanderers boss has been on the lookout for young strikers to add to his development squad and invited the 18-year-old down to work with Jamie Fullarton for the next few weeks.
A decision has not yet been made on whether to give the former Arsenal trainee a contract but Freedman admits the powerful youngster does have the profile he is looking for.
“He’s on trial in the development squad,” he said. “We’re looking for that kind of striker and he fits the bill.
“We’ll have a look at him over pre-season but there’s nothing unusual in that. He’s a good kid.”
