And not only did award winning Luke Wright perform in Bolton, he also gave a poetry masterclass.

Luke, a performance poet and broadcaster, worked with the Year 10 and 11 girls at Bolton School.

He performed his thought-provoking and humorous work in the school theatre before he was quizzed by the girls.

Later he met with sixth formers in the school joint creative writing group, where he encouraged them top look at metre, rhyme, form, storytelling techniques, imagery and metaphor as well as editing and redrafting in poetry.
