THE mother of a teenager who was killed by dogs has paid tribute to her.

Shirley Anderson posted a message on the social networking website, Facebook, to her “beautiful princess”.

Jade Anderson, aged 14, died after being attacked by dogs at a house in Chaucer Grove, Atherton, on Tuesday.

Her mother wrote: “Our beautiful princess — you’re a daughter who’s so cherished and perfect who means more than words can say.

“From being born you’ve brought smiles to our faces.

“A golden ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.

“You’re beautiful and special in every single way.

We love you princess xxxxxxxxxxxxx”

The house where the tragic incident took place has been boarded up and the dogs owner, Beverley Concannon, is said to have gone into hiding.

Police have been in contact with Ms Concannon while carrying out their investigations.

Supt Mark Kenny said: “I want to make it clear that we have made absolutely no decision on whether any prosecutions will be brought.

“It is extremely important for Jade's family that we conduct a thorough investigation into the facts and speak to everyone involved so we can build up an accurate picture of the events leading up to Jade's tragic death.

“I do not want to be drawn on issues of legislation surrounding dangerous dogs at this time — my focus is to establish the facts and give Jade's family the answers they deserve.”
