A DRIVER who killed a teenage motorcyclist has been warned he could be jailed after he pleaded guilty to death by careless driving.
Inayat Adam, aged 36, of Eskrick Street, Bolton, was driving a Vauxhall Vectra just after 10pm on January 2 when it was involved in a collision with a Suzuki motorbike in Deane Road at the junction with Blackshaw Lane.

The motorcyclist, 18-year- old Paul Couperthwaite, suffered serious injuries and died in hospital a short time later.
Mr Couperthwaite, a former pupil at Ladybridge High School, was due to become a father.
Following his death, more than 100 of Mr Couperthwaite’s friends and family released Chinese lanterns and balloons as a tribute to him.
At Bolton Crown Court yesterday, Adam was granted unconditional bail by Judge Peter Davies until his sentencing hearing on April 26. Judge Davies told him: “You must know that all options are open to the court, including custody.
“This is a grave offence and the consequences of your driving that day will be forever felt.”
Police launched a crackdown in Deane Road last year to tackle motorists who were driving carelessly or dangerously, or flouting speeding, seatbelt and mobile phone laws.
The scheme was launched following growing concerns from local residents about road safety on that stretch of road. In January, 2012, there were four serious crashes, one which claimed Mr Couperthwaite’s life.
The following day, just metres away, a man had to be cut free from his car after a crash between two vehicles. On January 9, Amir Khan’s brother, Haroon Khan, was questioned by police after his car was involved in an accident which left a man needing hospital treatment.
And a biker in his 20s was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm after his bike and a car collided on January 10.
