BEAUTY queen Nicole Jackson has proved she really is a diamond.
The 16-year-old schoolgirl from Farnworth is the new face of international jeweller Tresor Paris.
Landing the prestigious contract is the latest accolade for the St James’ CE High School pupil, who describes herself as “just a girl from Bolton”.
Nicole, who last year was crowned Miss Teen Face of Europe, was chosen from thousands of girls vying to be the face of the jewellery line, which is said to be popular among celebrities.
She said she was overwhelmed by her appointment.
“After being sent on an audition by my modelling agency, I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “When I was sent the official brochure which has my face all over it, I just cried with unbelievable joy.
“Then when I saw the huge
billboards with me on it, I was in amazement.
“I thought ‘that’s me — just a teenager from Bolton’.”
Nicole, who also models for swimwear line Blooming Lovely Originals, has been competing in beauty pagents since the age of 13, and she believes taking part has given her confidence behind the camera and the catwalk —as well as opportunities to travel to New York, Miami and Paris. But, she added: “Getting this recognition has enabled me to raise awareness of various charities and causes.
“Since winning Miss Teen Earth in 2010, when I was 13, I could never have guessed how it would change my life.”
Nicole has been crowned a supermodel in the USA and was
given the honour of passing the Olympic torch to boxer Amir Khan.
She is now promoting research into the incurable condition, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, which her cousin Tyler Richardson has recently been diagnosed with.
Nicole, who has been shortlisted for Miss Junior Bolton, says she is concentrating on her GCSEs before deciding
on her future.
She has been dating Cypriot Manchester United starlet Nicholas Ioannou for more than a year.
Salim Hasbani, Tresor business development director, said: “We enjoyed having such a professional young lady modelling for our new catalogue. Her beauty and poise complimented the luxurious jewellery.”
