A BOLTON technology business has moved to a new office and is taking on extra staff.
Arena Group has moved from Chorley New Road in Bolton to The Quad in Atherleigh Business Park in Atherton.
Bosses are also celebrating acquiring 100 new customers through a service contract deal with PGL Graphics Ltd, based in Bolton’s Swan Business Centre.
Arena’s workforce is now moving to the new 190 square-metre facility which houses a sales office, workshop and more accessible storage space.
Its sales team has a new showroom to display print and document management technology.
Harry Wells, the firm’s logistics director, said: “The open-plan layout of the building will encourage greater collaborative working and the new facilities will strongly position the business for continued expansion.”
With the 100 extra service contracts from PGL Graphics, Arena will now provide maintenance and support for all PGL’s previous print clients.
Recruitment is also under way for several sales account managers.
Arena currently has six UK sites and works on print strategy and document projects with clients including schools, housing associations, car and vehicle suppliers, and building societies.
Local clients include Bolton’s St Catherine’s Academy and AFG Law.
The group has a five-year plan for a £20 million turnover and seven offices by 2015.
Last autumn, it said it ended its financial year on an all-time high with a record turnover, beating its annual targets.
Managing director Adrian Fitzpatrick said: “Arena has grown over the past 21 years through sheer hard work and determination.
“We have always focused on providing a first-class service and investing in this new site signifies our long-term commitment to the area.
“Having had such a strong year we’re in a great position to continue to push the business forward — improving our facilities is of benefit to both staff and customers alike.”
Arena also runs an apprenticeship academy which has seen 21 staff training over a five-year program.
The new Atherleigh site includes workshop space for the expansion of the scheme.
