A MAN is in a critical condition and two women are in hospital after a head-on car crash in Ringley.
Five people, including two children, were injured in the two-car crash, which happened at 8pm, on Thursday, March 14, in Stoneclough Road.
Firefighters from Bolton Central and Farnworth attended the scene and cut the two women from a Ford Galaxy.
It is believed the Ford Galaxy crashed head-on into a BMW travelling in the opposite direction.
The women, aged in their 40s and 60s who were travelling in the Ford Galaxy, were both taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital with leg and back injuries.
The two children, aged 12 and nine, who were also in the Ford Galaxy, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The 32-year-old male driver of the BMW was taken to the Salford Royal Hospital with head, back and leg injuries and is in a critical condition.
Police are investigating the incident .
