CREATIVE young people are being invited to join summer theatre sessions in Bolton.

The Octagon’s Summer Term Youth Theatre is for five to 25-year-olds who have an interest in theatre, want to learn new skills and make new friends.

The sessions start next month, with youngsters working alongside drama experts in all aspects of theatre production.

Members regularly create and perform work in the Octagon’s Studio Theatre and previous participants have said how the sessions helped build up their confidence.

The sessions run regularly and are held at the theatre for a term of 10 weeks. They are available to three age groups — five to seven-year-olds, eight to 11 years and 11 to 18.

The full term costs £45 and bookings are being taken from Monday, at 9am, for the two younger age groups.

Bookings are being taken from Wednesday at 9am for the 11 to 18 group.

To book, call the Octagon ticket office on 01204 520661 or visit in person. Bookings work on a first come, first served basis.

Bookings for ages 16 to 25 will be in September. For details, contact helen.barnes@octagonbolton.co.uk.
