CHILDREN at Bolton’s Firwood School are having a splashing time at Bolton One.

Thanks to MedEquip4Kids and First Bus, the young people are enjoying hydrotherapy sessions in the multi-million pound complex.

MedEquip4Kinds has donated equipment including floats, specialist support rings, heart rate monitors and flippers to the Harwood school allowing children with profound physical disabilities to benefit from being in the pool.

The sessions, being run by physiotherapist Sue Booth, help children to gain freedom out of their wheelchairs, and improve fitness, muscle strength, breathing and posture.

The charity helps to improve the health of children and babies in the north of England by providing equipment not available from limited NHS resources.

Most of the money, more than £1,500, raised for this equipment has come from First Bus in Bolton as well as charitable trusts in the town.
