THE weather may have been dreary outside, but inside a Bolton shopping centre a colourful show helped brighten the day for fashion fans.
The Market Place held a spring fashion event on a wet and cold Saturday, showcasing the hottest looks for the new season.
Five shows were held throughout the day, with hundreds of shoppers stopping to watch the action on the catwalk.
At 11am, models took to the stage wearing summer breeze trends, while at noon it was the turn of monochrome.
Suits and tailoring were shown at 1pm, at 2pm looks inspired by ’90s band Nirvana were shown and the day finished with precision whites at 3pm.
All the men’s and women’s clothes were from shops in the Market Place, including Zara, Bank, Moss and DB3.
Fashion enthusiast Amber Tesia, aged 35, from Bolton, was in the audience watching the shows with her mum.
She said: “I think it’s great that Bolton is stepping up and showcasing trends and having events such as this.
“It’s cosmopolitan, it’s fun, it gets people talking.”
The shows were hosted by presenter Claire Morrow and fashion stylist Biba Afful was also on hand to give advice to shoppers.
