BRIGHTON will be without striker Craig Mackail-Smith for Saturday’s trip to Wanderers.
The 11-goal Scotland international sustained a serious Achilles injury in the 0-0 draw with Bristol City on Tuesday night which looks to have ended his season. The Seagulls head to the Reebok five points ahead of Wanderers, occupying the final play-off spot with a game in hand. Manager Gus Poyet said: “The doctor is 99.9 per cent sure he is out for the rest of the season.
“I absolutely hate the loan market, but I won’t be so naive not to use it.” Brighton are unbeaten in their last six games, one less than Wanderers, but are already without Will Hoskins, leaving Poyet with just Leonard Ulloa and Ashley Barnes to select from up front.
