n THE launch of Holiday Inn Bolton’s Great Red Nose Bake Off is encouraging all budding bakers to “bake like Berry” with its version of the hit TV show.
Ingredients and equipment will be provided and all contestants need to do is show up at the hotel on Thursday, March 14, at noon, and put their baking skills to the test with the aim of raising as much money as possible for this year’s Comic Relief.
Mary Berry, renowned judge on the Great British Bake Off, said: “Raising cash by baking is a piece of cake. Please though, no soggy bottoms. Baking is such good fun, and I’d be delighted if you would put your talents to work this Red Nose Day.”
People taking part have to bake a 12-inch cake.
Dieter Koch, Holiday Inn Bolton Centre hotel general manager, said: “We really wanted to get behind this year’s Comic Relief activity and what better way than with a Bake Off.
“We have the kitchen facilities, the judges and the ingredients, and all we need now are the contestants to make this a fundraising event to remember.
“You don’t need to be an expert, as this is all about fun and money. Once the winner has been crowned, we are also going to sell the cakes in the hotel to raise even more money for this wonderful charity.”
To register your team to be a part of Bolton’s biggest Red Nose Bake Off simply call the Holiday Inn Bolton hotel on 01204 879988 and quote ‘Bake Off’. Entry fee is £10 per team (maximum of four). Full details are available on request.
