HOW long will it take before Marvin Sordell gets a chance to show he's worth £3million, writes John Weathers.
I don't mind if Dougie Freedman wants to change players every week but he needs to give everyone a chance and after we finally got a chance to see Marcos Alonso against Ipswich Town, we are only waiting to see Marvin now.
We heard time and time again when Owen Coyle was in charge how he would light up the Championship and be given his chance, but how long do we have to wait?
Freedman has said he is homesick but it can't be doing the kid any good sitting and playing on Twitter while his mates go out on the pitch.
It should have been the perfect opportunity against Ipswich because there were two centre halves on the subs bench and why would we need that?
Afobe came on and did nothing. I think Sordell should have been put on the bench and then maybe in the last 20 minutes he could have been brought on to show the fans what they are missing.
Why have we not seen Joe Riley either? He played well last season and I was reading a lot about him getting his chance now that we were playing in the Championship but unless you go down to Leyland on a Tuesday night you wouldn't know Riley existed. Just like Paulo Di Canio.
I think we need to give him a chance because Tyrone Mears needs to be taken out of the team soon before it is too late.
