I'M sure I wasn't the only Bolton Wanderers fan scratching my head when the team line-ups were announced at Brighton, writes Emma Marsden.

Where was Spearing? Why wasn't Martin Petrov or Marvin Sordell in the team again? And why were we playing Tim Ream – and centre back - in midfield?

It isn't the first time that Dougie Freedman's team has confused me but I think we have got to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I only listened to the game on the radio, but it sounded like we got absolutely battered for 90 minutes and then popped up with a goal right at the end.

When was the last time we did something like that? It absolutely certainly wasn't when Owen Coyle was in charge. We would have lost that game under him.

We have got some character in the team now and I just hope that eventually that turns into points because the teams at the top of the league are starting to run away with it.

I would still have Petrov in my team and maybe The Bolton News can ask why he isn't playing?
