MATT Mills has been passed fit to face Middlesbrough after shrugging off a hamstring scare.
The Wanderers centre-back was taken off as a precaution in the midweek draw at Wolves and had been considered a doubt heading to the Riverside Stadium. But Jimmy Phillips revealed that, if selected, he would be able to resume his partnership with Tim Ream at the heart of the defence.
“It’s a clean bill of health from the other night, so that's good news,” he said.
“Matt came off the other night feeling his hamstring but it’s not as bad as initial reports suggested. He’s fit to be in the mix.”
Phillips also confirmed that Benik Afobe was taken off at half time following his first-half strike at Molineux for tactical rather than fitness reasons.
