STOTT James Rigby On 25th May, 2024 peacefully in hospital and of Westhoughton, James aged 96 years. Loving husband Myra (née Heaton). Dear uncle to David, Susan and Jane, great-uncle to Nigel, Sarah, David, Steven, Claire, Brendan, Sarah and Amber and a great-great-uncle to other nieces and nephews. Funeral service at Cornerstone Church, Wigan Road, Westhoughton on Tuesday 18th June at 1.00pm followed by committal Howe Bridge Crematorium at 2.00pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of James are being collected for Bolton Hospice and Cornerstone Church Westhoughton. Donations and enquiries to Cowburn Funeral Service, 1 King Street, Westhoughton, BL5 3AX. Such a gentleman , have known Jim since I was knee high to a grasshopper as they say and he was such a good friend to my mum and dad over the years , I'm so pleased that Myra and Jim made a very impressive milestone wedding anniversary in the last few years and also that I had the privilege of sitting next to Jim last time I attended Cornerstone Church and getting what I didn't realise would be my final hug .. Jim make sure you catch up with my dad and have a chat about the cricket . RIP x
