PILLING Fred Roy Passed peacefully in Royal Bolton Hospital on Thursday 6th June 2023, aged 95 years. Beloved husband to the late Yvonne, loving father to Julie. A cherished grandad to Katie, Jessica, Darcy and Ellie. Great-grandad to Sophia, Eden, Esme and Archer and a sadly missed friend to many. Funeral service to be held on Thursday 22nd June in Overdale Crematorium, East Chapel at 11:15am. All enquiries to Bolton Funeralcare, 01204 307151Tributes

Dearest condolences to all of Fred’s family & friends, Fred was one of the best (not to mention unique), who mentored me greatly at Metal Box in the 70s & 80’s.
He’ll be sadly missed!
Unfortunately I’m unable to attend his funeral, due it clashing with a short break in Spain.
