MAGISTRATES have sentenced a man who stole a Vauxhall Vectra to 200 hours’ community work.
Amjal Afzal, aged 20, of Bradford Street, The Haulgh, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop after an accident and driving in Church Street without a licence or insurance.
He was ordered to do 200 hours’ unpaid work as well as paying £100 compensation and £150 prosecution costs.
