MOST 15-year-old boys would be terrified if they thought they had killed someone.

Not Andrew Smith. He was proud of what he had done. So proud he filmed himself on his mobile phone, boasting that he had the “eyes of a killer”.

He recorded the seven-second clip just minutes after he and Bolton set upon Mr Ahmed, at 10.35pm.

He later realised just what he had done and deleted the incriminating clip.

But by then it was too late — a record of it was already stored on his mobile phone.

So when the police came for him at 5am the next morning, as he lay asleep on the sofa, he must have known he was doomed.

He tried to hide his blood-stained clothes in his bedroom but the police found them too. And they had everything they needed to connect Smith, a schoolboy, to the brutal murder of Asaf Ahmed.
