Police have issued a picture of a man they want to speak to in connection with an armed bank robbery.
Officers want to speak to 26-year-old Anthony Baskeyfield following the robbery place at the NatWest Bank, Monton Road, Salford at 5pm on Wednesday, January 17.
Police were called to the bank after four men in balaclavas pulled onto Highfield Drive in a black Toyota Avensis. The car was stolen from the Pendlebury area the night before.
Three men forced their way into the bank with an axe while the fourth waited in the car. They approached staff members who were refilling cash machines and threatened them with the axe.
The offenders stole a quantity of cash before running out of the bank and getting back into the car. They then drove off in the direction of Half Edge Lane.
Staff members were treated for shock but no one was injured.
Detective Inspector Daniel Woodward said: "We are keen to speak to a man who we believe to have been involved in this incident and are really relying on the public's help in tracking him down.
"We are also keen to speak to anyone who saw this incident at what was a very busy part of the day.
"Greater Manchester Police will simply not tolerate this type of criminal activity and will do everything possible to catch the offenders involved."
If anyone knows of this man's whereabouts or recognises the photograph they asked to call police on 0161 872 5050, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or the Confidential Information Line on 0800 121 362.
