MUSICIANS and singers from across Greater Manchester and beyond will be bringing together classics and big screen favourites for a night of music in Bolton.
A Musical Showcase plans to raise the roof tomorrow at the Victoria Hall in aid of the Brain Research Trust, a charity which supports research into neurological conditions, including dementia.
The show, which starts at 7.30pm, will see a collection of well-known groups and performers taking to the stage.
They include a display by the Scots Guard Association Pipes and performances from the GMP Symphonic Wind Band, Manchester Show Choir, John Norcott and Penny Nicholls.
It will be hosted by Chris Boyle with music from famous shows such as Les Miserables and Lion King, familiar movie tunes like Adele’s James Band theme Skyfall and Celine Dion’s Titanic classic My Heart Will Go On, and classical notes such as Rossano Galante’s Resplendent Glory and Highland Cathedral.
The event has been organised by saxophonist Paul Heptinstall, from Bamber Bridge, whose mother Moira suffered from vascular dementia.
Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for under-18s, and a family of four get a child seat free with a family ticket at £25.
