YOUR heart bleeds for Premiership footballers sometimes.
Manchester City are reportedly opening negotiations to double Micah Richards' contract - just one year into his current four-year deal.
He obviously needs it because an 18-year-old cannot live on a mere estimated £10,000 a week. Then there is Kanu at Portsmouth, bless him.
He's been bleating on about how tough it is travelling from London to Portsmouth every day, and how the alternative of buying a house doesn't bear thinking about.
"I have a four-hour round trip from Hertfordshire every day which is a killer," he said. "If I move down, it will take me four months to get into a house."
I'm sure the forty grand a week makes up for it.
