IT'S 1-0 to football over rugby union in the way the two sports handle their last day fixtures.
The Six Nations kicked off at different times on Saturday which meant France had the advantage of knowing what they had to do to lift the trophy.
They knew they had to score at the end to win the trophy and took advantage of the extra incentive and advantage.
Many sports come under this kind of pressure to bow to television and, thankfully, football still manages to schedule all games to kick off at the same time on the decisive day which makes it more exciting and fairer.
