INTERNATIONAL week in football is just an excuse to debate whether there are too many foreign players in the Premier League.
As ever, it sparked up again this week with yet more plans discussed on how to strengthen the England national team by giving home-grown players a chance to play.
Fuss about nothing. There are 70-odd English starters every week in the Premier League, 10 at the top four clubs alone.
You only need 11 for England so why weaken the league they play in?
Anyway, English players do have a chance – they could always play abroad, but unlike players from the rest of the world they don't seem to want to.
