IN reply to the report of tree felling at the Stags Head, now the Manor. If they have not got planning permission to fell the trees, why do we let them get away with it? They have just taken it upon themselves to do what they like.

Whoever owns the Stag/Manor have also blocked the entrance to the piece of land by building a wall right across the opening to it. It was the old railway line for the coal yard, and the Stags Head public house never stopped anyone going through that land, so how can someone just build on it? Too much land is being taken away for free, so why does the council not stop this action?

What is the use of having a planning department?
