WE ARE writing to thank the very kind lady who helped us on Sunday, November 30, when our dog was knocked down on Darwen Road, Bromley Cross.
She took us in her car to an emergency vets in Bury.
The journey was understandably fraught with emotion, but this kind lady, who we only know by her first name, Helen, tried desperately to keep us calm.
Sadly, when we reached the vets, Micki had sustained injuries that resulted in him having to be put to sleep.
The lady in question had to go when she had dropped us off and could not bring us home.
We would like to tell her just how much we appreciated the kindness that she showed us and that, hopefully, she wasn’t too upset by the events of that afternoon.
You are a truly good Samaritan.
Andrew and Barbara Snashall, Bradshaw, Bolton
