I read the article about the challenge of the big breakfast at Mario's Cafe Bar (“The big breakfast challenge”, December 3).
A free meal was on offer to those who can consume it all.
In these times, when most of us are counting our pennies and buying food with great care, I would like to know what happens to all that food that is left on the plate by the challengers who fail to eat it all?
Is the food calmly thrown away, wasted? Do they take it home in a doggy bag? Or is it re-cycled somehow?
