It amazes me again to see the UK almost ground to a halt because of a snow fall.
Every year we seem to read the same reports when snow falls — school closures, complaints about gritting, missed bin collections, and cancelled buses and trains. It makes me laugh.
I have spent many holidays in Scandinavia where they truly know what snow is. Surprisingly, their trains still run on time, the buses don’t stop, their children still go to school and they have fun in the snow. No-one panics about health and safety issues and the bins are emptied.
It’s snow and it’s beautiful. Let people, especially children, have some fun in it while they can.
