TERRANCE Green is fed-up with people clogging up the shops at lunchtime, when he is trying to shop during his limited break.
Terrance has a list of people he considers have no real reason to be in town at lunchtime, getting under his feet.
These include people pushing prams. People with children. People with other people who do not walk in single file. People who do not work. And, of course, pensioners.
If I was to take Mr Green seriously, I would be very irate. The arrogance of the man. How dare he tell people when they can or cannot be in town? How dare he tell me! Who does he think he is?
Mr Green should join forces with the The Bolton News’s Karen Stephen, who, back in 2003, wanted to start an “Only Workers Shop At Lunchtime” campaign, because rude OAPs were getting in her way when she tried to buy her butties at M&S.
Can you imagine, police at every bus stop and car park, rounding up pensioners, parents and children, and those without a job, who dared to set foot in town at lunchtime.
Hordes of protesters, led by granddads and grandmas, on their granny-wizzers, heading into town down every arterial road, placards held high, heading for The Bolton News offices, where Karen was cowering behind bolted doors.
