THE spelling and grammatical errors that you introduced into my letter (November 20) demonstrated perfectly the need for raising Bolton’s standards of education.
Lest your readers think that the mistakes were a product of my education at Dumfries Academy, please could you print what I originally wrote: Scotland has had academies for centuries. An academy is usually the principal state school for a particular geographical area.
