REGARDING the letters published on the Letters Page, I agree with the majority as is the case with “Views from the web”.
I certainly don’t agree with a minority who smirk at getting their own way. Case in point Chris Robinson’s (“Market Place’s Renovation is wonderful”, The Bolton News, November 11).
More letters are still coming in condemning the ripping out of the heart and soul of the old Market Hall as we knew it. The large petition apparently fell on deaf ears and blind eyes. So much for democracy.
As for Mr Robinson’s comment “More power to the developer’s elbow” was really in bad taste. It is the developers who are creating such vandalism.
I certainly agree with Tracy Ryder who is with the majority, and as for the so called cheap tat and food, it will be increasingly more welcome given the current financial climate.
