I HAVE just read the article, “School chapel christening for baby Theo” (November 24), about the Christening at Canon Slade School.
It brought back memories for me as I was a pupil there from 1969-74. During that time, my younger brother was also Christened at the school — obviously not the new chapel, the previous one — in 1971.
The service was performed by the Reverend R (Daddy) Ladds, who at the time was school chaplain, and not a nicer person could you hope to meet.
