LAST week a letter was printed about people putting up their Christmas lights early. Well, last weekend I saw my first works Christmas party of the year — Saturday, November 22.
There were a group of about 20 women, some of them dressed as Santas, some as fairies, others in what you might call unsuitable “going-out” outfits, conga-ing around the town, with tinsel in their hair, singing Christmas carols.
I’m not a curmudgeonly old-fashioned type (I'm 44), but surely, even with all the temptations on offer in the shops, people could at least wait until December before holding their Christmas parties?
Anyone for a New Year's knees-up this weekend?
