I AM beginning to get angry with the people in the town hall.
When we are told to turn the thermostat down one degree or to switch the little red light off the television at night, what does our council do?
It awashes our town hall in lights — if anyone comes to see the country’s best town hall and surroundings, they will come in daylight.
There is a much more serious matter here, and that is that all these unnecessary lights are adding to our nuclear waste.
We must say to the council, no — thus setting an example to the world.
Money men will blind you and make you believe everything is okay, but it is not.
We must do more for the future generations — more solar wind and water power.
Okay, so some think the wind turbines are an eyesore — more likely they are more concerned about their possessions and value — but build the turbines for now, as we can always take them down as required.
Ban the sale of tumble dryers, get the wringers out and hang the washing out — not a problem in the 1950s.
Most people change their clothes too often now anyway.
If we do not change our ways soon, we will destroy ourselves.
