why are we still paying licence fees to the BBC? It should take advertisements like all the other channels then licence fees would disappear and all the channels would be on an even playing field.

All we seem to get now are repeats, ancient films that went out with the ark, grass growing, eggs boiling etc. Even the quiz shows are repeats.

Regarding football, the big companies have even dominated the kick-off times and match dates. What happened to the traditional Saturday kick-offs at 3pm and full attendance of fans? They are all priced out.

Older couples watching their soaps have football rammed down their throats, people out for a mid-week drink have football rammed down their throats and when the games are finished, the highlights are rammed down our throats.
