When are all these people who are moaning about the renovation of the Market Place going to realise that it is done and will not go back to the way it was?
I, for one, think the renovation is wonderful. It has been designed to give a light, airy atmosphere which is conducive to pleasant shopping.
I doubt any of us who are modern and forward looking would like to see a return to the tired, worn out shopping area which was quite unpleasant to shop in, and sold mainly cheap tat and food.
If people want this sort of experience, stop whinging and go to Ashburner Street Market, where I am sure you will be accommodated.
We need investment like this to bring new money into Bolton — more power to the developers’ elbow, I say.
