IT was great to see how well TV’s Children In Need appeal did this year in spite of the “credit crunch.”
Local firms, groups and individuals pledged their support to the campaign — which has benefited projects in Bolton in the past — to keep the millions rolling in.
That feeling was echoed on Saturday when I popped in to Bolton Hospice’s annual Christmas fair and saw the milling crowds there, hopefully making it another successful fundraiser.
Local charities are suffering in the current financial climate and urgently need our help. So, in the spirit of seasonal goodwill, perhaps you could spare an extra donation to your favourite charity this year.
The cash is vitally important to help disadvantaged and sick people, and it really will make an important difference.
